Nordmann’s Orbweaver, Araneus nordmanni, occurs in North America, Europe, Northern and Southern Asia (excluding China).
Like other orbweavers, it builds large, flat webs in vegetation. In the photos shown here, the female’s web is in a heavy growth of sword fern, Polystichum sp. All photos are of a single individual.
