The Olympic Natural History site grew from two roots. After I was introduced to digital photography, I realized that web publication offered more than the usual photo gallery or slideshow format. The web offers the opportunity to present natural history information like you might find in print natural history field guides, but with essentially no limits on the amount of text or the number of photos. As with my Animal Communication Project, I think of Olympic Natural History as an open-source project, and welcome corrections, suggestions and contributions to the forum and to the photo pages or location pages. All contributions and posts remain the intellectual property of the contributor. Please do not use any photos or text for any purpose without permission. Note: As of 02 14 09, the Olympic Natural History Forum has been disabled because of abuse by spammers. |
