Beginning August 02, 2009, we photographed and collected nymphs that appear to be the same Steiroxys species. The nymphs are abundant in scattered vegetation just east of the Obstruction Point parking area in Olympic National Park (about 47°55'8.02"N 123°22'53.21"W, about 6,100 ft elevation).
Photos 1-6 in order of increasing ovipositor length, roughly corresponding to increasing body size. The nymphs also show increasing definition of the characteristic dark markings of the adults. All have a light green underside, as compared to the brown underside of adults. We have seen no male nymphs.
