Olympic Natural History Photos is an experiment in combining pictures and words in a different format than the usual photo gallery format or illustrated text. Most of the photographs are by Stephen Hart, some by Karen Hart and Robbie Hart. Most photos are from the North Olympic Peninsula in Washington.

I’ve done my best to present accurate information, but identifying organisms from photographs can be difficult. Identifying insects from photographs can range from easy to difficult to impossible. So please take all species identifications as tentative. I’m happy to answer questions if I can and I welcome comments and corrections. Just e-mail me.
